Important Announcement

Dear friends, supporters, donors, volunteers, and beekeepers,

It is with great regret that we announce today the closure of Bee Collective and our honey house. As many of you know, I was first diagnosed with cancer a few months before we launched Bee Collective in 2012, and although I had a long period of remission, recent recurrences have made it increasingly difficult for me to continue with Bee Collective. At each recurrence Cassandra has stepped up to run operations and has been incredible and amazing at keeping things going. But we are both realising this is becoming increasingly difficult with my decreasing health.

It is easy to focus on the things that we didn’t achieve with Bee Collective, it had so much potential, but really, we have achieved so much! Think of all the incredibly delicious honey we extracted on behalf of London’s Beekeepers through our volunteering programme. And all the friendships we have formed through that programme. Not forgetting instigating London’s B-line which is being taken forward by Buglife and other organisations in London. So please, watch this space, keep an eye out and support London’s B-line.

In the coming weeks, we will be open most Saturdays to sell our honey, everything must go! Please keep an eye on social media for additional opening times and feel free to pop up to say goodbye. We will also be selling off our extraction and bee keeping equipment - if you are interested again please get in touch asap. We will share a list of our stock on our website and social media soon.

So, this just leaves me to say a huge thank you to all of you for everything that you have done to support Bee Collective. We couldn’t have done it without you and for me to say a particularly huge public THANK YOU to Cassandra for everything she has done to keep Bee Collective going.

Thank you

Caroline x
